The cafe has now been closed for the foreseeable future due to lack of support
Watch this space to see if we reopen in the future
The Coffee Morning was a great success with more attendees than the previous year. We even put on bacon butties which everyone appeared to enjoy! And to top it all off we even raised £176 to go towards the JGFC to make it even bigger and better. Thanks to the staff, volunteers and everyone else at the Whitwell Community Centre
In order to grow the JGF Club to the best it can be we had a restructure of staff and roles in the organization. This has created even more employee and volunteer opportunities. This has offered new roles for our current employees and has enabled us to expand our staff team so that we have a much clearer path which will lead us to success

AGMs have taken place in all clubs. This is where we vote our Chairpersons, Secretaries and Treasurers for the upcoming year. Fantastic participation at all clubs with some great people in place to support the clubs
We now have 16 members at the Chesterfield Club which is fantastic! In order to take any more members we would need a bigger room and another regular volunteer, both of these are being sourced at the moment so that we can grow even more
Unfortunately we had to change the venue from The Spot and Derby, we tried The Living Lounge for a while but this was not successful due to overheads. We are now very lucky to have the support of The Cross Keys in Belper. It isn't a nightclub but we do have exclusive use of the whole pub and we create a nightclub environment
With 14 performers making up 11 acts we held the JGF has talent final. Entries included solo and group dancers and singers. The winner of the contest was Tom Wildman from our Bolsover club entertaining us with Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell
Just Good Food is a small Café and Delivery service which has been introduced to provide funds for the Charity but predominantly for our members to have the opportunity to gain skills in cooking and a working environment. This has progressed well over the initial six months, we have employed another member of staff to support this also supplying employment in the area
Fun Sports had been running for over a year without any program in place which did work well but we wanted to add some structure so that when our members joined us they knew what to expect on that day and could also choose when they would like to attend according to their preferences. We still do some adhoc activities to keep the element of surprise
Very quickly developed and already has 13 members. Brilliant club held at our main office with access to our equipment at all times
Having spent many happy years at the Adult Education Centre in Bolsover the club has grown in both numbers and different activities, meaning they needed a bigger room. Having now moved we can encourage more members to join us at our Bolsover Club for more information please contact us

We didn’t move far, we just moved downstairs to allow us more office space, storage space, the area required to hold a club and a working kitchen to allow us to open the café. We spend a lot of time transferring rooms, one in particular is regularly changed from a café to a club room and now we also offer it to be rented as a meeting room. An indication of just how versatile and resourceful we are!
We received another round of Lottery Funding which is fantastic news! It means Just Good Friends club will be around for at least another 5 years. As always we will use this funding to grow and develop, making Just Good Friends Club even bigger and better! The lottery invests in us as they see what a difference their funding makes to our community through Just Good Friends Club
Chesterfield Nightclub has been running successfully for many years and our customers just can't get enough! We listened to their request and changed our 6 weekly event to every month. Our customers do us proud with their loyalty and numbers are higher than ever each month!
We are now supported by Easyfundraising
